Creature Comforts Animal Inn is Connecticut's premier dog and cat boarding establishment. Our lodging suites are clean, spacious, and in a home-like atmosphere. We pride ourselves on giving each of our guests lots of TLC while closely monitoring all their behaviors. At Creature Comforts Animal Inn, you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is in a safe and loving environment while you're away.

Boarding Rates

Creature Comforts Animal Inn runs like an inn: if your pet checks out before noon, there is no charge for that day. Our boarding rates include:

  • Playtime Dogs go out into one of our four play yards at least 4-5 times a day.
  • Administering Medications - Please label all medications with the pet's name and dosing instructions.
  • Feeding Own Special Food - Please label with the pet's name and amount to feed.
  • TLC Hugs & kisses, petting, playing, talking, watching, and giving special treats!

 

Peak Season Pricing

 

During our most in-demand boarding timeframes, a nightly Peak Season surcharge will be added to all boarding reservations. Peak season dates include any major holidays and local school breaks. Please call for more information!

Late Check-Out Fee

 

We charge a late check-out fee for all dog boarding guests who are picked up after 12 pm, equal to an additional day of boarding. Your pup will still get to enjoy our fun facility while they wait to be picked up!

Additional Boarding Information

  • When boarding multiple pets in the same run, the price is discounted.
  • We offer a 10% discount when a pet stays for 30 days or longer.
  • We offer a 10% discount for military members, teachers, and first-responders.
  • We require a 50% refundable deposit from all our new customers. Once we establish a relationship with you, no deposit is required.

Dog Boarding

All our dogs have large, spacious indoor/outdoor runs and spend their days playing and exercising in one of our six giant play yards.

Cat Boarding

Our cat condos are 4½’ x 6½’ x 6½’, and each has their own skylights, furniture, and cozy hideouts in a dog-free section of our facility.

Our Facility

Located on sprawling grounds in North Stonington, CT, we are convenient to Westerly, Mystic, Stonington, Ashaway, Groton, New London, and Norwich. We are open 7 days a week and we encourage you to visit us to take a tour of our beautiful facility. Our kennel is equipped with a fire alarm system that is monitored 24 hours a day for your pet's safety. We disinfect every run every day with a high-power cleaning system from Cascade Companies that helps keep our kennel sanitary and smelling good.

Policies and Requirements

  1. All pets will be evaluated for behavior in their kennel, their social interactions with fellow pets, and their engagement with our staff throughout their first day with us. 
  2. Dogs are required to be up-to-date on the following vaccines: Bordetella, Rabies & Distemper (DHPP)
  3. Cats are required to be up-to-date on the following vaccines: Rabies & Feline Distemper
  4. Vaccines must be administered by a licensed veterinarian and administered at least 7 days prior to boarding
  5. Dogs: Please upload or bring Town License Certificates along with proof of vaccines (cats just need proof of vaccines)
  6. Everything provided must be able to fit in a standard washer and dryer (no large comforters, etc.)
  7. We will gladly administer all topical and oral medications to your pet at no additional charge.  Please make sure medications are labeled with your pet's name and dosing instructions. 
  8. Please bring enough food for the duration of your pet's boarding stay. You must provide individual prepackaged containers or Ziplock bags with your pet’s name and food measured by meal or a meal packaging fee of $3 per day (max of $15 per boarding stay) will be applied to your pet’s invoice. Canned food and meal toppers are accepted in their original container, but must be labeled with your pet's name.
